Obamacare Rates For 40 Year Olds

The haphazard Obamacare website has prevented us from getting this information out to you earlier. Thanks to the folks over at the Manhattan Institute for doing the hard work mining the data. We are presenting a table of rates for 40 year old men and 40 year old woman for coverage via their states Obamacare marketplace.

Just from a cursory glance at the data it seems that¬† in many states the rate for 40 year old people went up with Obamacare. But the bright side of the coin is that when these 40 year olds turn 60, they will be paying less than they would have had to pay had obamacare not been implemented. Did you understand that? Basically, almost everyone under the age of 60 is going to see a raise in the health insurance costs. But those people in their 60′s will see a decrease. So by paying more for the next 20 years, you will pay less once you turn 60. That is correct, it is a pretty stupid argument but there is no other sensible or logical way to explain it.
